What's Happening in April in North Park
With winter barely in the rearview mirror and the long days of summer still feeling so far away, you might be surprised at how much is happening in North park this April. Usually known for being Mud Season and days where the weather could change in an instant, there’s much more going on in Walden. From arts and crafts to getting together as a community, whether its birthday get-togethers or time-honored traditions of celebrating Easter, let’s take a look at what is happening in North Park this April!
April Health Fair
When: April 5th
Where: North Park High School Gym
The Jackson County Lions Club and Middle Park Health are proud to host the 2025 North Park Health Fair. Spring Market April 11-12
When: April 11-12th
Where: North Park Area Chamber of Commerce Office
The Spring Market is back, bringing with it local craftsmen, vendors, and artisans after a long winter hiatus. North Park has a thriving population of creatives who produce anything from glass artwork, to photography, to saddle tack, and hand-crafted soaps and lotions. If you are looking for that perfect graduation gift, birthday, or just because you won’t want to miss out on the Spring Market.
The Chamber of Commerce Office is next door to the Walden, CO Post Office on Main Street at 489 Main Street.
If you haven’t already heard about the changes to this year’s Sage Grouse Tours sponsored by the North Park Area Chamber of Commerce, there’s still time to get your tickets! The mating dance of the Greater Sage Grouse has been the subject of many nature documentaries, from the Discovery Channel to the pages of National Geographic. The characteristic sound produced by the males to attract mates can be heard for miles. North Park just happens to be one of the best preserved (and accessible) leks for this annual display of genetic prowess.
Photographers, birdwatchers, and nature enthusiasts have come from all over the world to witness this iconic experience. This year, the North Park Area Chamber of Commerce has opened the event to two weekends. The cost for admission has been reduced significantly and now visitors have the luxury of choosing their own venues for food and lodging. Read all about the Sage Grouse Tours here!
Check out theChamber of Commerce site to reserve your spot today. Event takes place April 18-19th and April 25th and 26th.

Bring a dish if you wish! This potluck holiday feast will be served cafeteria style. Dinner is free and there’s no telling what someone might serve up.
