What to expect on your visit

In December the weather is cold, and the roads can be treacherous, but you should be fine if you take it slow and enjoy the drive. Dress for the winter weather and enjoy the local color as you walk around town. Be safe out there on the roads and remember that cell phone coverage can be sporadic, especially during winter weather conditions. It’s not a race, so take your time to get here safely.
A New Holiday Experience
When other mountain towns are choked with traffic and crowds, the sleepy town of Walden offers a getaway from the busy resort towns and tourists. It’s a throwback to a simpler time, where you can discover your very own Christmas village in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Leave your expectations at home and return with ideas for new traditions you’ll want to carry on every holiday season to come.
