Best Places to Find What You Need in North Park Part II

Are you having a hard time finding what you need on your visit to Walden, CO? It’s funny how some things might be tough to find in such a small town. North Park is a vibrant community that is very much lived in. Though tourism is one of our biggest draws to the area, it’s still very much an area where people work, go about their lives, and live much like you do in your own hometown. We just happen to be a little bit further off the beaten path.

Locals might take for granted basic needs like where to connect to the internet, finding the best places to eat, and where to find the post office or FedEx and UPS. So if you are trying to find car parts, hunting and fishing supplies, or all sorts of other things, check out this guide to finding stuff in North Park!

Wifi and Cellular

With wireless carriers offering all sorts of unlimited data, hot spots, and easier ways to connect, visitors might take their electronic connectivity for granted. North Park has several dead zones, regardless of your wireless service. The strongest signal for most carriers is within line-of-sight of Walden, CO.

Visitors staying in one of our hotels or at a vacation rental property in Walden are likely to have wifi access. Be sure to check with your host or the front desk for details on how to logo to wifi. If you are eating at one of our local restaurants, it never hurts to ask your server if there is a hotspot to connect to wifi.

Connection speeds vary from place to place. Walden is gradually being equipped with fiber optic high-speed internet, but many providers are still working on legacy satellite and last generation DSL broadband.

If you are looking for a place to connect to Wifi in Walden, check out the Jackson County Public Library at 412 Fourth Street. They are also a great resource for printing off documents, finding regional newspapers, and information. Such as maps, directions, and local events.

Maps and Local Information

Just next door to the Jackson County Public Library, you’ll find a great place for resources about Jackson County. You can purchase high-quality maps, find travel and tourism brochures, and get information about things such as visitor resources and information about fire bans. The North Park Area Chamber of Commerce on Main Street is also a great resource for information, whether you are planning on a visit or moving to North Park, they’ve got you covered. The North Park Area Chamber of Commerce Website features info about area events such as the Never Summer Rodeo, greater sage grouse viewing, and craft festivals.
